This clip shows an interesting scenario. Trade all of the black people in the world for the solution to all of the country's major problems. What strikes me as odd is the fact that the advisors to the president do not discuss moral issues. They only discuss how the trade will affect social institutions. Those who are opposed to this "trade" only speak of things like welfare money decreasing, and the psychological affect it will have on the white people (though they never state that they would feel guilty). But they then seem to justify it by commenting that it is "civil service," and though the military would suffer, they would have energy to make new weapons to make up for the loss. And at the end, the economy is mentioned once again when the statue of liberty is turned to solid gold. All of the deficit could be paid off, and all citizens could enjoy a tax-free year. Yet the morality of the trade is never discussed.
